Korey and I were hired as Field Producers and cameraman for the Canadian Freeskiing Championships in Revelstoke this past week. We produced and shot daily web pieces before the contest and then became on-slope cameraman during the two days of live coverage. The first day was brutal with temps at 0 degrees and sustained 35mph winds. Ski Patrol was checking on us to see if we were OK throughout the day. Which was nice. The second day was heli-accessed terrain, very cold, but no wind. It was an amazing day with a lot of incredible skiing. Since we have extensive backcountry experience we were picked to be on-slope which was what we prefer anyways.  This week though I’ll be enjoying my warm office as I edit the event show for Comcast.
